Hello!

Since 2009 I have worked as a theatre maker and creative facilitator specialising in family & children’s theatre. This includes touring nationally & internationally for Tall Stories with ‘The Gruffalo’ and ‘Room on the Broom’. Performing in many shows with The Dukes in Lancaster, a highlight was playing Gollum in their UK Theatre Award winning ‘The Hobbit’. Working with wonderful companies such as Polka Theatre, Northern Stage, Tutti Frutti, The National, The Lowry & M6 Theatre. In TV, I starred in the BAFTA winning ‘Ha Ha Hairies’ for Cartoon Network/S4C & appeared in an episode of ‘Grandpa in my Pocket’ for Cbeebies.

I began writing professionally in 2019, discovering my passion for making original content for children. This includes co-writing an episode of the children’s TV show ‘Daisy and Ollie’ called ‘What Makes A Home?’ for Channel 5 Milkshake. Currently I’m developing a children’s yoga experience called ‘Yo-Go!’ with my husband Adam (who is an animator), it will be a mixture of live action & animation. In September 2024, I will train to be a kids yoga teacher, which will help me incorporate these techniques in my work. Most recently I have been running storytelling sessions in the community for Octagon Theatre Bolton & doing creative facilitation for Stand Up Sisters (a charity that works with women in recovery).

Becoming a mum & experiencing postpartum psychosis has profoundly reshaped my perspective on my life’s work, pushing me to seek purpose in my creative practice. I am passionate about bringing well-being and interactive storytelling together to enrich the lives of young children & their families.

Please get in touch if you’d like to know anything more about what I can offer. I am always interested to hear about exciting new projects!

The Leaf Who Was Afraid To Fall

An original storybook written and illustrated by myself, this book is designed to assist little humans on how to regulate their nervous systems. It also gently introduces the idea of things not lasting forever & the concept of death. There is an easy to follow story along with a lullaby and short mindful breathing practice that helps to set up a peaceful bedtime routine for all the family.

See below for the front cover and audio recording of lullaby & meditation. Available Autumn 2024 – details to follow.
